Something snaps loudly to your right. The sounds of the woods die, as if recognizing the unseen danger near you, leaving you alone with the sound of your shoes on dirt and gravel. It feels like something is stalking you, watching closely as you take each step.
You hear a rumbling growl in the trees around you. A wide shadow passes by. You freeze as the shadows move closer.

The grass begins to wither, and the tree branches become barren the further you travel. Clouds pass overhead, partially blocking the moon. Trees become sparse again with many haven fallen over dead.
In the distance, you see a wooden fence blocking a section of fallen trees. As you approach it, [[you find a tall man standing beside it.]]

"I think I will leave you now too, human," the wolf says. "I have found other prey to catch. Thank you for allowing me on this journey with you."
The wolf smiles at you once last time. Then it turns and prowls in the same direction as the (if: $vampireLore is true)[vampire](else:)[man].

His teeth look unusually sharp in his grin. They almost look like fangs.

After you finish your tea, you move to go help her, but [[your body begins to numb and freeze in place.]]Your skin immediately burns and blisters. Every inch of your body burns in the intense heat, your nerves scream in white hot, searing pain.
The water bubbles and boils your flesh. The steam fills your eyes, nose, mouth, ears, lungs, cooking you from the inside. You can feel your organs bake in your body. Your skin is red and peeling off of you in think chunks.

Think where you want to go and hold the seed to the moonlight. The flower will bloom and point you in the direction you must go. The witch reaches down and plucks your entire body off the floor easily as you squeak and flail uselessly.
"A much better houseguest now indeed," the witch laughs.
